点评：The Sharon Playhouse is truly a gem in a quintessential New England town. Located just over an hour from Albany, in the very northwest corner of Connecticut, it is easy to get to. When attending a show, get there early, as they have a lovely bar and patio with a beautiful view. Have a drink, relax, and go inside when you are ready. Sometimes, they have a food truck on site, and I highly recommend having dinner on the patio. The theater itself is in a really cool, old barn. While you get that rustic feel, the acoustics are great and the seats are very comfortable. But most important, the quality of the theater is top notch. The professional shows that I saw this summer were some of the best I have seen anywhere. Specifically, I saw "Come From Away," and the cast crushed it. In fact, it was one of the best productions of this awesome musical I have ever seen. Sitting in a small theater like this, I could hear, see, and feel the emotion that the actors were trying to portray. There are no bad seats in the house, whether you like to sit in the front row, a few rows back, or in the back, you will hear, see, and feel that emotion.
Tickets tend not to be too expensive. We paid $35 for our tickets and that was a steal for the quality of theater.
After the show, meet the cast on the patio, have a drink, and let traffic dissipate before heading home. It makes for a great, enjoyable, and relaxed evening.
