Broadway Quality Without The Hassle or Price

点评：The Sharon Playhouse is an old barn playhouse. They have a nice pre show bar area, quint and open before the show. The theatre appears to be an old barn and upon entering, I was a little taken back because the building was quaint, the actual seating was not. It was pretty much old movie theatre type seats but not in keeping with the building's surroundings. I was skeptical because the past few years I have traveled hundreds of miles looking for and attending summer stock. It is the best way to support live professional theater.
It is also a great bargain. Excluding all the inns and hotels we stay in , it is a huge bargain. We can see three really great professional shows for the price of one ticket in Boston!! This was my eleventh summer stock theater in Me, Nh, Ma, Ct, and RI. It just did not have the vibe I was expecting. Sadly I judged a book by its cover!
We had seats on the side because there was no balcony ( I always sit in the balcony for the best view in my opinion). Again not impressed, but I was hopeful the performance would be at least tolerable. Never judge a book by its cover! The performance as amazing(imagine all capitals)! It was Broadway worthy and perhaps even better in a pleasant setting (without all the crime and inebriated lining the streets of NY). We saw 42nd St. I am not a fan of tap dancing musicals and actually hated Crazy for You at the Goodspeed this summer! Was I surprised how much I love, love, loved this show because of the performers! I cannot emphasize enough how incredibly good they were. I do not know why I was surprised much like Goodspeed and Ivoryton, they are very close to New York and convenient for those who perform there to live and work here for a few weeks!!
There were many costume changes which I always find adds to the experience. in addition were able to change the scenery which is also an enhancement.
We will be back! It is so close to Western Mass I do not know why we had never heard of it before. I

我们一定会再来的！这里离马萨诸塞州西部如此之近，真不明白我们之前怎么从未听说过呢。
