点评:I have lived in Nottingham for nearly a third of my life and it's definitely my home city now. Yet, it remains an enigma, wrapped in mystery, all smothered in fog to me! I am beginning to think that I have been looking at it upside down. What I thought was the bottom is the top and the middle, the rim.
Which is all a roundabout way of saying that , until yesterday, I had not visited The Nottingham Forest ground and been given the tour by mein host, Michael.
Nottingham is its famous triumvirate of writers, it is The Trent and it is The Lace Market and yet it's none of these.
Michael, through his unforced, Clough-like vigour and infectious humour and enthusiasm made me see that the heart and soul of my adopted birthplace resides in this little corner of England where a little game has given to the denizens a reason to be citizens and big and proud.
