Positioned as luxury, delivered as standard.
Clubrooms - Birmingham的点评
点评：I chose this lounge based on its positioning as a “luxury experience” with table service. Unfortunately, it does not deliver at that level.
It was empty on the day I arrived (with approx 11 people - including me )for a short 4 hour flight.
The staff were polite and well-intentioned, but the environment lacked the attention to detail that defines a premium space.
The food was inconsistent — an initial chicken dish was notably poor (overcooked and processed in taste), although a later fish option was acceptable. Beverages were standard.
Where the experience really fell down was in presentation, cleanliness and general upkeep. The coffee and dessert areas were left visibly unclean throughout my visit — used cups, spills, sticky surfaces and untidy displays. Tables and menus were not maintained to a standard one would expect in any well-run lounge, let alone one marketed as “luxury”.
Basic touches were also missing.
No magazines or newspapers were available, despite being listed.
The service lacked awareness — I observed guests waiting extended periods without attention.
This is not a question of price, but of standards. A premium environment is defined by consistency, cleanliness, and quiet efficiency. Those elements were not present here.
There is potential, but it currently operates closer to a low-mid-range lounge than the elevated experience it suggests.
I had intended to bring clients here. On this occasion, I wouldn’t feel confident doing so. I’m making arrangements to avoid this lounge. I’d feel better just waiting at a cafe ot eatery chain in the public arena, unless this lounge improves!
