Botanischen Garten der Universität Basel的点评
点评：I really enjoyed this Botanical Garden. It is quite small and so quick and easy to see unless you are into details, of which there are many. We saw it just before the Swiss National Day weekend but it should be open on public holidays. It is free to enter and is open 8am to 6 pm from March to October.
The tropical glasshouse (opened in 2023) was so unexpected. You first traipse around trails in the humid section with its many tropical plants then transition into a tropical cloud forest whose the coolness was wonderful after the previous humidity and, in fact, the general high temperatures outside. There is a staircase providing you with roof top views. Quite unexpected and really wonderful.
There are other glasshouses with water plants (see the large Amazon water lily), another with succulents and others. Outside there is an alpine garden with plants from across the world (including Australia), a Mediterranean garden and, again, other themes. Worthwhile visiting if you like gardens.
