Kailzie Estate is a delight.

点评：We visited Kailzie on advice from a member of staff at the nearby Peebles Hydro Hotel and were not disappointed.
After the very hot spells we had experienced in Yorkshire, we went to the estate on a beautiful day with patchy sunshine and a pleasant 21 degrees.
We were greeted in the shop / entrance by Linda who enthused about the gardens and, having paid a modest fee we set off starting with the walled garden. It is a joy to experience with a vast array of lovingly tended flowers and herbs inside the 18’ walls.
We followed this by walking around the extensive Arboretum and using the map provided found a number of interesting locations, making this a very special day for us.
We finished in the lovely courtyard cafe with tea / coffee and a scone and after 3-hours made our way back to Peebles having once again found that this part of the world is a delight.
