点评:This monument is exceptional! I was shocked to learn that this is just one of 22 other temples and monuments that were disassembled and moved for their preservation.
Be prepared for a VERY long bus ride. It is over 3 hours one way to this monument from Aswan. There is only one road to get there. It is through the desert and not much to see en-route. It is a 2 lane road with lots of other buses and semi trucks on heading south. Keep in mind Egypt jealously guards its tourist economy. There are security personnel EVERYWHERE. This is a good thing for people from outside the country. But, do not be offended if you are not allowed to wonder off by yourselves in any of the cities. The monuments and temples are very well visited by people from all over the world, so be patient with the very crowed experience. There will be thousands of people at each place you visit. Plus remember you are next to the desert, so dust and possible sinus problems might be an issue. All in all a wonderful experience. But the days are long with early get ups in the mornings to avoid the sun and heat.
