点评:Visiting Batu Caves was a great experience. We climbed the 272 colourful steps up to the main cave, which was an easy walk despite the height. The monkeys were entertaining to watch, although they were quite bold and would grab food and belongings from visitors if given the chance.
The main Batu Caves complex, with the impressive golden statue of Lord Murugan, is free to visit. There were people outside encouraging visitors to visit some of the other shrines and attractions that charge an entrance fee, but we chose to stick with the free main cave.
We did pay to visit the area with the peacocks and one of the additional caves, which contained statues and displays depicting other Hindu deities. It was interesting to see a different side of the site and learn more about Hindu culture and mythology.
One small tip for future visitors: keep bags, drinks, and snacks secure around the monkeys—they’re surprisingly skilled opportunists!
