Cerney House Gardens的点评
点评：Cerney Gardens are absolutely beautiful, peaceful, calm, special and very romantic. They do things here a little differently which makes it all the more enjoyable. As you drive up to the gardens the approach is very scenic. Admission payment is made by yourself on a little machine and these are also dotted around in the garden shop and the cafe which is housed in the Bothey.
The walled garden is stunning and clearly put together with so much thought and love. There is a wonderful Medicine Garden which we spent some time in, it’s so informative and interesting, we really enjoyed reading about the health benefits of so many plants. The shop is housed within the wall of the walled garden and has a very pretty range of ceramic pots and decorative items, a little further along you will find the delightful cafe housed in The Bothey. The owners bake their own delicious cakes with generous portions, each bake is plated ready for you to select along with a wide range of teas, coffees including cafitiere and soft drinks. The little kitchen is set up for you to make your own drinks and make payment on the little paying machine. There is plenty of seating to choose from, outside on the sunny terrace overlooking the garden, or in the shade, or indoors and there is also a covered indoor/outdoor space. You can walk the woodland walk, explore the area where there is a large pond with views back to the house. There are plenty of choices to picnic in the grounds.
We enjoyed our time here so much and will definitely be returning throughout the year to enjoy this special place and of course those delicious bakes. If there is one garden you visit it should be this one. The whole set up is refreshingly different and guarantees a lovely time. Oh yes, it’s also dog friendly.
