Cowboys Dancehall RedRiver: Guess my expectations were too high!

点评：Our team from all across the US gathered in Dallas in early August for a work retreat. It seemed like a good chance to fit in something "country" so we settled on a visit to a dance hall.
The team took the challenge to heart, dressed in our boots and duds for the dance hall, and were ready to dive in to the country dance classes and fully get into the spirit.
While our reserved table was there at Cowboys Red River as promised, the dance lessons were two-step only and it was like speed dating - just a walk through of 16 counts with each partner and not even to music! (We had truly hoped for at least some line dancing to get the full group involved.)
And the current country music was no where to be found at all that night... Even when the lessons were over and the floor was turned over to dancers, the music felt like a mix of classic 80s and 90s with nary a Morgan Wallen, Luke Bryan, or even Rascal Flatts tune in sight.
I really wanted to have a whale of a time with my colleagues, but I was left incredibly underwhelmed (yep even after riding the mechanical bull!).
