A great last minute decision - fantastic
Schynige Platte的点评
点评：This one was a real surprise as it wasn’t in our original plans at all. We made a last-minute decision to visit Schynige Platte instead of doing a day trip to Lucerne — what a great decision that turned out to be.
The vintage cogwheel train from Wilderswil takes around 50 minutes and is a great experience in itself, with fantastic scenery all the way up. We were lucky to have a clear day and the views from the top were absolutely stunning.
The new viewing platform is well worth visiting, with superb panoramic views across the mountains and down towards Interlaken and the lakes.
We also really enjoyed walking through the Alpine Garden, where we stopped on one of the benches, had a drink we had brought with us and simply sat taking in the incredible surroundings.
The walk out towards the mountain lodge/viewpoint overlooking Interlaken was also well worth doing, with more fantastic views along the way.
Schynige Platte ended up being one of the unexpected highlights of our week. If you get a good weather day, I would definitely recommend it
