点评：I was hesitant to visit as I have read that when you visit you would be depressed but still I dropped by here. So before heading for our lunch I decided with my brother to visit as going here with kids is not recommended. So entrance to Maison Centrale or Hoa Lo Prison is about 2 usd and upon entering you would be asked if youd like a guided audio which u just press and play to have information of what you are looking at - cost around 4 usd. The area that is sad is the torture cell where a prisoner is positioned in a reverse reclined so in long time blood would rush to head unless you support yourself using your elbows. the main prison cell where prisoners are chained on ankles is also sad and that prisoners have to use the toilet in front of other prisoners. Some prisoners i think 3 only escaped through an underground sewer. So yeah a bit of history. we didn’t really stay long maybe 45 mins only but yes we got to learn a bit of their history.
