The Raiders Road Forest Drive的点评
点评：A keen biker, I'm always on the lookout for a great drive - even if I was in a car with family this time. The various influencers had raved about this drive and I was expecting something like the forest drive around Ladybower near Sheffield - great views, lots of places to stop and opportunities to walk. It was none of that. A rough road with views limited to the trees either side. The very few places to stop were blocked by camper vans and when we did find a spot to stop, there was nowhere to walk to. The nearby visitor centre had closed down, and the toilets at the Otter Pool a health hazard. Having said that, the families at the Otter Pool were having a great time, with kids "white water rafting" on their inflatables, but that wasn't what we'd gone for. As other reviews have said, the normal roads nearby had better views, were more interesting to drive and had places to stop and walk.
I love this part of the country and plan on coming back on 2 wheels at some point to enjoy it properly, but I certainly won't be wasting time on this road again.
