点评：I love boats and maritime history so this place was at the top of my to do list in South Haven. I was not disappointed. They have a beautiful campus with a fairly new main exhibit building and several historic outbuildings with exhibits. Hundreds of photos and artifacts and multimedia displays. There are also meeting rooms and a gift shop with interesting items beyond t shirts and refrigerator magnets. But the best part is that they have lots of boats to examine, and three that you can actually take a ride on. We took the cruise on the Friends Good Will sailing ship. There was a crew of six all dressed in period appropriate sailors clothing. They did the work of sailing the ship but also encouraged the children on board to help steer and lower the sails. Before the cruise we got a very informative explanation of the ship’s history and Great Lakes maritime history from Captain Jim. Great cruse! If you love history and boats and want to have a good time learning, this is for you.
