A Beautiful Look Into the Craftsmanship Behind the Taj Mahal

点评：A really interesting place to visit, especially if you want to understand the craftsmanship behind the Taj Mahal.
I met Mohammed Nazim, who comes from a family connected to the same traditional craftsmanship used in the Taj Mahal. He explained the history and showed us how the artisans cut, shape and inlay the marble with different semi-precious stones. What makes it special is that they still use the traditional techniques by hand today.
The visit starts with a short video and explanation of the story and process, followed by a live demonstration. Mohammed was very knowledgeable, friendly and explained everything in a very interesting way.
The shop itself is beautiful, with many handmade marble pieces, decorative items and nice gifts.
Definitely worth visiting, even if you are not planning to buy anything. You leave with a much better understanding and appreciation of the incredible work and craftsmanship behind the Taj Mahal.
