# Butlin’s Minehead Adult Weekend Review – 9th–12th October 2026
Butlin's Live Music Weekends的点评
点评：We’ve been coming to Butlin’s Minehead adult weekends since 2010, and this visit, from 9th–12th October 2026, marks our 18th visit over the years. We’re currently here at the resort, so this review is based on our own experience during this weekend.
As regular guests, we feel we have plenty of experience to compare our stays over the years!
The accommodation
Our room, which used to be classed as a Silver room, was okay. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for, and for us, the room is somewhere to get changed and sleep rather than somewhere we spend much time.
That said, there were a few niggles this time. The bathroom door wouldn’t fully close, the shower extractor fan was the loudest we’ve ever heard, and the window in the entrance door let light through, which was a little annoying in the early hours of the morning.
When checking the bed, we noticed a few stains on the mattress topper. We contacted Guest Services, and I have to give credit where it’s due. They were brilliant! Two members of staff arrived at different times, and both brought a replacement mattress topper. The issue was dealt with quickly and professionally, and we were very impressed with the response. Excellent customer service!
Premium Dining – a real disappointment this time
We’ve always enjoyed our adult weekends at Butlin’s, and the dining experience has generally been good on previous visits. Unfortunately, on our 18th visit, breakfast was a huge letdown.
One thing that has changed is that there no longer appears to be a standard, cheaper dining option. The choices are now Premium Dining or breakfast only. With Premium Dining being the only dining option available for those wanting meals beyond breakfast, you would naturally expect the food to be consistently hot and of a decent standard.
Sadly, that wasn’t our experience.
The full English breakfast was the worst we have ever had at Butlin’s. The beans were cold, the bacon was cold, and basically everything on the plate was cold! The only hot item on my plate was the omelette, which was freshly cooked to order.
The plates seemed warmer than the food itself, especially the further down the stack you went! How can you serve a breakfast like that?
We both also noticed how much busier the dining area seemed to be this time. We actually wondered why it was so much busier than we remembered from previous visits. Could the change in dining options be contributing to the increased numbers? Whatever the reason, if there is now greater demand on the dining facilities, surely keeping the food at the correct temperature and maintaining standards should be a priority.
When you have a large volume of food being served, you would think that there should be systems in place to ensure it stays hot and ready to eat. Unfortunately, that certainly wasn’t the case during our breakfast.
This was particularly disappointing given the changes to the dining options. With no standard, cheaper dining option available anymore, you would expect the remaining dining service to deliver a reliable standard of food. Cold beans, cold bacon and practically an entire cold breakfast simply aren’t acceptable.
The entertainment, atmosphere and people
Thankfully, the things we have always loved about the adult weekends are still there. The entertainment has always been good, the atmosphere is superb, and the people you meet are always ready to have a great time.
The fancy dress, the laughs and the brilliant atmosphere are all part of what keeps bringing us back year after year. There is something special about these weekends, and it’s great to see that the entertainment and overall atmosphere continue to deliver.
The security staff also deserve a mention. They are always polite, friendly and professional, which definitely helps make the weekend enjoyable. They are a credit to the resort.
Overall
We love Butlin’s adult weekends at Minehead, and the fact that this is our 18th visit since 2010 says it all. We wouldn’t keep coming back if we didn’t enjoy ourselves!
We are currently staying at the resort from 9th–12th October 2026, and while the room is manageable and Guest Services have been excellent in resolving the issue with our mattress topper, it is such a shame that the dining experience has let us down this time.
The entertainment, atmosphere and people are as good as ever, but the food has been a real disappointment.
The removal of the standard, cheaper dining option means that the choice is now Premium Dining or breakfast only. With this being the only dining option for guests wanting meals throughout their stay, we would expect the food to be hot, fresh and of a consistent standard. Given how busy the dining area seemed, we were left wondering whether the increased volume of guests is having an impact on the dining experience.
We understand that things can go wrong, but serving a full English breakfast where practically everything is cold simply isn’t good enough.
Butlin’s, please take a look at your food temperatures, dining capacity and overall food standards. We still love your adult weekends, but this time the dining experience has really let the overall stay down.
Here’s hoping our next visit brings the same fantastic atmosphere, entertainment and friendly people we have come to know and love, along with the quality of food we have enjoyed in the past.
We want to keep coming back for many more adult weekends, but with the dining options now more limited, it’s even more important that the food and service meet the standard guests expect.

We know how good these weekends can be, which is why it’s so disappointing when something as important as the food lets the experience down. We hope this feedback is taken on board and that our next visit sees the dining experience brought back up to the standard we have come to expect over the years!

检查床铺时，我们发现床垫保护垫上有几处污渍。我们联系了客服，必须说他们的服务确实不错。他们表现得太出色了！有两名工作人员分别在不同时间赶到，都带来了替换用的床垫保护层。问题得到了迅速且专业的处理，我们对他们的响应速度印象深刻。真是出色的客户服务！
高级餐饮服务——这次实在令人失望
我们一直都很享受在布特林斯度过的成人周末，以往的用餐体验也都不错。可惜的是，在这次第18次光临时，早餐实在让人大失所望。一个明显的变化是：现在似乎不再有那种价格便宜且标准化的餐饮选项了。现在只有“高级餐饮套餐”或“仅含早餐的套餐”两种选择。对于那些除了早餐还想吃其他餐点的人来说，高级餐饮套餐是唯一的选择，因此人们自然期望那里的食物能始终保持热乎且质量不错。
可惜，我们的体验并非如此。
那份英式全套早餐是我们在布林斯度假村吃过最糟糕的一次。豆子是冷的，培根也是冷的。基本上盘子里的所有食物都是冷的！唯一热乎的东西就是那份按照订单新鲜制作的煎蛋卷。
那些盘子本身似乎比食物还要暖和，尤其是堆叠得越靠下的盘子！怎么能上这样一份早餐呢？
我们俩还都注意到，这次用餐区似乎比以往热闹得多。我们甚至好奇，为何这里比我们之前来时要热闹那么多。餐饮选择的多样化是否导致了用餐人数的增加呢？无论原因是什么，既然现在对餐饮设施的需求增加了，确保食物保持在适宜的温度并维持质量标准就理应成为当务之急。

化装秀、欢声笑语以及绝佳的氛围，正是我们年复一年重返这里的原因。这些周末总是有种特别的魅力，看到这里的娱乐活动与整体氛围始终如此出色，真是令人开心。
安保人员也值得称赞。他们始终礼貌、友善且专业，这无疑让整个周末更加愉快。他们真是度假村的骄傲。

Butlin’s，请检查一下食物的温度、餐厅的接待能力以及整体的食品标准吧。我们依然很喜欢贵处的成人周末活动，但这次的用餐体验确实拉低了整个住宿体验的品质。希望我们下次造访时，仍能体验到那种令人愉悦的氛围、丰富多彩的娱乐活动以及热情友善的人们，当然还有我们过去一直钟爱的美味佳肴。
