点评：My husband and I reached out to Laurie in anticipation of our time in Advocate harbor to see what options we could have for an adventure. We did the Wards Falls Waterfall Hike which was INCREDIBLE and joined Laurie for a Fat Tire Bike ride. The whole experience felt intimate and adventurous, for the hike we joined another couple (so 5 of us total) and for the bike we got solo time with Laurie. We loved the pace (he met us where we were at which was fast at times and also a little hesitant at times - ehem… I may not be as a big a fan of heights as I thought…).
Most of all, the day we spent with Local Guys this was the highlight of our two weeks in Nova Scotia. The conversations we had, the opportunity to truly pause and appreciate the beauty was unparalleled. While I’ve appreciated other “tours” which imparted tons of ‘knowledge’ about the history and geology… I felt like I got to know the people and the land in a different way. How it’s used and transformed by families, generational stories. I know there’s a saying… “it’s about the friends we make along the way…” but it’s so so true. Laurie was so flexible with our plans and ideas and did such a wonderful job. Highly recommend!!!

总体而言，与Local Guys共度的这一天堪称我们在新斯科舍省两周行程中的亮点。我们所进行的交谈，以及能够静下心来欣赏美景的机会，都是无与伦比的体验。虽然我也很欣赏其他那些能传授大量关于历史和地质知识的“旅游项目”……但这次我却以一种不同的方式了解了当地的人们与土地——它如何被各个家庭所使用与改造，又承载着怎样的世代故事。我知道有句谚语说：“重要的是沿途结交的朋友……”这话真的千真万确。Laurie对我们的计划与想法表现得极为灵活变通，工作也完成得出色至极。强烈推荐！！
