点评：In June 2026, my spouse and I hired Klawock Totem Taxi & Tours for a tour of the greater Klawock area on Prince of Wales Island. Who better than Dennis, who is the Klawock mayor and an elder of the local Tlingit clan/ḵwáan. His wife and business partner, Trina, was a joy to interact with. Their sweet grown daughter joined us for the tour. Dennis is an eloquent, soft-spoken, knowledgeable, and fascinating storyteller. You immediately realize he is a wise, kind, likable, and thoughtful native leader, with a keen sense of humor. He met us at the port and drove us to several nearby historical sites, regaling us with interesting and significant stories. The Tlingit people have a fascinating ten-thousand year history. The stories are theirs, and theirs alone, to tell, and Dennis is one of the few authorized to do so. I have great reverence and respect for him. Our favorite tour in Alaska!
