点评：Today we visited maften which at first appeared to be a fantastic venue- the new clubhouse is absolutely fantastic, modern and inviting for people to come and enjoy a meal .
The course - where do I begin? The start seemed promising however the second hole on a TEMPORARY green in June without any prior warning from the pro shop. I can understand a lot of attention has been spent on the new 9 holes renovation which is due to open next weekend, however the rest of the course has been very much a second thought. Tee boxes scruffy and not well kept, greens on the standing stone were not too bad and a relative pace . This is where the course drastically when downhill moving across to the dewlaw greens completely bare of any grass and obviously not getting any WATER!! Pitch on the greens ball ends up bouncing through the back. So overall course I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Now let’s start on the post round meal I was last out in a group of 27 and the fact we had to wait 30 minutes for our burger to arrive was bizzare while they had already brought most of the food out . Felt as if they hadn’t planned very well . The desserts we’ll all of the group besides my fourball received dessert and when we asked all we kept getting was it coming , it’s coming. Well after another 25 minutes and one more ask we got it’s coming we said it’s ok we will just leave it . So having paid for a dessert we did not get it after having twice asking for it. Staff not very helpful and seemed miserable some staff training required!
All in all I would not reccomend this course or venue to any fellow golfers …. Pretty much over hyped and very poor standard for such a stand out venue .

现在来说说赛后餐吧。我们一行27人，我是最后上桌的。汉堡等了30分钟才上，而大部分菜都已经上齐了，这实在令人匪夷所思。感觉他们根本没做好计划。甜点方面，除了我们四人组之外，其他人都点了甜点，但我们每次问，得到的回复都是“马上来”、“马上来”。又过了25分钟，我们再次催促，才终于听到“马上来”的回答。我们只好说“算了，就先这样吧”。也就是说，我们付了钱，却两次催促都没拿到甜点。服务员态度冷淡，看起来很不高兴，显然需要好好培训一下！
总而言之，我不会向任何高尔夫球友推荐这个球场或场地……名不副实，对于这样一个号称出色的场地来说，实际体验却非常糟糕。
