Thongsuk Elephant Park的点评
点评：My brother and I visited this elephant park following a recommendation from our hotel. During the visit, the elephants were being forced to perform tricks and tasks. I witnessed the workers pulling on the ears, tail and tusks of the elephants to encourage them to blow water towards us. They were constantly yanked by their collars, and weren’t able to roam or walk freely. They were also made to sit down in the water to be scrubbed with mud. It was clear that these elephants were highly docile and submissive, having to follow a strict order. I felt uncomfortable and struggled to enjoy it as I was concerned for their welfare. Following the visit, I made a formal complaint to my hotel and they have advised me that further investigation will be taking place. It is so hard to find a truly ethical sanctuary, but this is so far from it. I won’t be visiting any in future unless they are watch-only. Please avoid otherwise you are sadly supporting animal welfare malpractice.
