点评：The tram journey from Sóller to Port de Sóller is marketed as a charming, nostalgic experience — but in reality, it’s dangerously chaotic, poorly managed, and far from the idyllic ride tourists expect.
From the moment you approach the tram stop, the problems are obvious. Crowds are left to surge forward with no queueing system, no staff guidance, and no attempt at crowd control. People push, squeeze, and climb aboard in a way that feels more like a scramble for safety than a leisurely excursion. Families with children, elderly passengers, and anyone with mobility issues are put at genuine risk.
Once onboard, the situation gets worse. The tram is routinely overloaded, with passengers crammed into every available space — standing in doorways, pressed against the sides, and even leaning out to avoid being crushed. The lack of capacity management is astonishing. It feels unsafe because it is unsafe.
The ride itself, though scenic, becomes stressful. The tram jolts through narrow streets with pedestrians, cars, and cyclists inches away. With so many people hanging out of the sides, one sudden movement or unexpected obstacle could easily cause injury. There is no visible safety briefing, no staff presence, and no reassurance that anyone is actually overseeing the operation.
What should be a highlight of a visit to Sóller ends up feeling like a poorly controlled tourist trap, prioritising ticket sales over passenger welfare. The charm is completely overshadowed by the disorganisation and the very real sense that the tram is operating beyond safe limits.
