点评:I come here with my nanny kids quite frequently. The climbing is great and so is the soft play, no fault on the facilities. However, this is ruined by many things.
I completely understand that people are not allowed to bring their own food in. But not allowing takeaway coffees to be brought in (when the coffee sold on the premises is absolutely disgusting!) is wrong. My heavily pregnant sister came with her little girl and was forced to down her entire coffee at the door or they couldn’t come in. People wouldn’t need to bring them in if you had decent coffee, but it’s the worst. Also the snack options for kids are super unhealthy for a place that doesn’t allow food to be brought in, just a note. Who’s getting their kid a blue slushy and sweets at 10am? They used to have innocent smoothies but they’ve got rid of those.
When I brought my nanny kids here a week ago (3 years old and 7 years old) they had to have different climbing times which I completely understood. His time started at 10:00am and hers at 10:30. She went and amused herself in the soft play until her climb time. The man working at the entrance understood all this, I was very clear. Me and the younger kid go in for his climb and he gets harnessed up, and that’s it, you’re able to clip them in and out yourself straight away. I’ve done it many times before. When the time came for the oldest’ climb, she watched the video upstairs, came down, got harnessed and for the first few climbs she wanted me to clip her in as she wasn’t strong enough to do it. The same man who booked us in came over and said I can’t clip her in or out because I haven’t watched the video, bare in mind I hadn’t left the arena as I was helping the toddler with his climb (AND HE KNEW THIS WOULD BE THE CASE I EXPLAINED IT WHEN I BOUGHT THE TICKETS). This makes absolutely no sense. I was forced to watch the video in the arena itself which interrupted her climb time AND drew my attention from the two children I needed to be looking after. There was nothing in that video I didn’t know, it was the same stuff I had to do with the toddler.
It doesn’t make any sense why I could clip in the boy but not the girl. It’s exactly the same clips. Not to mention his attitude while speaking to me, all the other staff were absolutely lovely and I could tell that the girl showing me the video felt really guilty because she knew it was stupid. But I know a few parents who have complaints about this same man and his demeanour.
It’s just a really badly run place, with a lot of potential.
