I recently visited the Natural History Museum in Morro Bay and had a very frustrating experience with your staff.
I purchased a chocolate item from the gift shop and opened it right away to taste it. Immediately after doing so, I was told that I had to take it outside. This policy was never explained to me before the purchase, and I would not have opened it had I known.
The employee who addressed me, Karen, handled the situation in a way that felt abrupt and unprofessional. Being told to leave after already opening the item was both inconvenient and frustrating, especially since the expectation was not communicated ahead of time.
This situation could have easily been avoided with clear guidance before the purchase. Instead, it left me with a negative impression of the overall customer experience.
I hope you can address this with your team so future visitors have a better experience.
