点评:We only heard about Paraschakis through Trip Advisor as we were looking to flesh out a trip to Melidoni Cave (which is only 5 mins drive away) and we loved it.
When we told our teenagers (19 and 17) we were going to visit an Olive Oil factory they were largely underwhelmed at the idea but Johanna made the visit funny and entertaining (even if our Scottish accents were a more challenging accent than the Germans!).
It’s not a long tour but you get to see how this Cretan staple was made and the modern advances that now have the family helping all the local olive farmers make the most of their crops.
This isn’t a formal, scripted tour and that means you can ask questions and find out loads or just listen and leave.
The teenagers really enjoyed the visit in the end and I’d highly recommend it.
As with other attractions in Melidoni, it’s excellent but doesn’t take long. Our visit lasted half an hour-ish, so plan it with other attractions around the area such as the cave and Reptisland if you’re looking for activities to fill a Morning or afternoon.
