点评:We arrived early at the market and after wandering around we decided to treat ourselves to a Belfast Bap, before joining Connor and the tour. Unfortunately it took much longer than advised for the bap to be served and as a consequence we were running late for the tour.
We spoke to Connor, prior to our meeting time and advised him accordingly. He was so understanding and accommodating. He did not rush us and we were able to eat our ‘massive’ baps (you won’t eat for the rest of the day) and joined Connor for the tour.
He used a microphone and provided us with earphones, so as he could be heard over the noise of the market, which was a great idea. The historic information and antedotes regarding the market and its traders were relayed by Connor in a very interesting and witty manner.
We walked round the market and were introduced to a number of market traders who were plying a variety of wears. Shiela who used sea glass to make jewellery and other crafts was particularly interesting. Her knowledge of geology and the input she provided us was fabulous. As was another Connor, who dealt in mushroom products as a health alternatives and food seasoning.
We had an amazing tour with Connor and I would wholeheartedly recommend him as a guide. He was extremely personable and humorous. Do yourself a favour and book this tour! Thank-you so much Connor for such a lovely experience 😍
