点评：My family gifted me a Half Day Driving Experience on the railway for my birthday and I had an excellent time.
The railway provide you with a full train and steam loco for the exclusive use of you and your guests for a return trip up the full length of the line together with an instructor driver, fireman and guard.
These are narrow gauge locos so it can be a little snug in the cab at times with three of you but not too bad.
You get a briefing at Wharf station before setting off and then you control the loco for the entire journey to Nant Gwernol and back.
On arrival at Abergynolwyn a buffet meal is waiting for you and your guests with plenty to go around.
It's not a cheap experience but provides memories that you're unlikely to forget especially because you get to keep the personalised headboard from the loco to take home with you!
We rode the railway on the day previously as passengers and really enjoyed the experience, excellent views up the valley, with well looked after trains and stations and friendly knowledgeable staff.
Highly recommended.
