Middleham Castle的点评
点评：We visited on a chilly, rainy day in May 2026. The advantage of visiting in inclement weather was that we had the place almost to ourselves! We bought the guidebook at the ticket desk and I was really glad we did. It greatly enhanced our visit since there was not a lot of detailed information on the display boards in the castle area. We spent several hours going through the guidebook in detail trying to identify the features it mentioned. Several cold rain showers went through, so we took a coffee break in the warm ticket office about halfway through our visit. I had read a lot about the life and times of King Richard III including his times at Middleham and despite the weather it was an amazing experience to visit the ruin and imagine it when Richard III and his contemporaries were there. Middleham Castle is a great place to visit for English history fans!
