Sywell Country Park的点评
点评：I wanted to leave some honest feedback about Pump House Cafe.
I ordered two lattes, one of which needed to be made with soya milk because I have a dairy intolerance. I completely understand that alternative milks may cost a little more, but I was really surprised to see an additional 90p charge for soya milk. This meant the soya latte was nearly £5.
Personally, I feel that 90p is an excessive markup, particularly when alternative milk is a necessity for people with allergies or intolerances rather than simply a preference. It left me feeling that customers who need dairy alternatives are being charged disproportionately more.
I was also surprised that the cafe was being run by very young staff who appeared to be out of school and, from what I could see, didn’t appear to have barista training. Given the price being charged, I would expect a higher level of service and coffee expertise.
For comparison, larger chains such as Costa and Starbucks don’t charge anything like this level of premium for alternative milk, and you would generally expect trained baristas and good-quality coffee.
Unfortunately, we decided not to have our coffees there because of the price of the soya latte. I just wanted to share this feedback because I think the additional charge for alternative milk could be looked at more fairly, particularly for customers who genuinely cannot have dairy.
However the walk around Sywell Park it’s self was lovely, aand would give that 5* stars! 🫶
