点评:Shortly after you turn onto 287 and head west there is a series of well done information boards and pull outs. We stopped at the Hebgen lake dam and saw a bald eagle standing in the parking lot and looked out over the beautiful lake. There is also a pretty clean restroom there. Then we stopped at the camp creek scarp pullout to look at the 20 drops of the land. Drove down to the earthquake lake boat ramp. We hiked around the left side and looked at the ghost trees. Then we drove to the outstanding visitor center and watched a very informative video presentation. We did the short hike down to look at the beginning of the spillway from the lake. We then drove over the earthquake dam and down to the Madison as it runs into the valley. From there we drove 15 minutes to enter Idaho because my friend wanted to set foot in it. By the time we were back on 191 we had spent a super interesting 4 hours. So fascinating.
