⭐ Extremely disappointing customer service – think carefully before joining ⭐️

点评：I joined The Village Gym in Weston and paid for a full 12-month membership upfront. Unfortunately, shortly after joining, I discovered that the current major roadworks affecting the M57 junction make travelling to the gym extremely difficult and, in practical terms, virtually impossible for me.
I cancelled my membership within six days of joining and requested a refund. Despite contacting the gym on multiple occasions, I have still not received my refund or a satisfactory response.
What I find particularly unacceptable is the lack of communication. My emails have gone unanswered and I have repeatedly been unable to contact anyone by telephone. I would have expected a much higher standard of customer service, particularly having paid for a full year in advance.
I appreciate that the roadworks themselves are outside the gym’s control. However, the way my cancellation and refund request has been handled is entirely within the gym’s control.
After this experience, I would not recommend joining The Village Gym, particularly if you are relying on convenient access from the M57. I would strongly suggest checking the current road situation and, importantly, understanding the cancellation and refund arrangements before paying for a membership.
