Slow Roads Through the North: Mongolia's Sacred Monastery, Forest Lakes, and Zavkhan Steppe

点评：As a couple, we have just finished an amazing 16-day trip through Mongolia. We were looking for a very specific kind of holiday: a relaxed journey in close contact with nature, exploring remote and quiet places, with occasional stops in villages to discover the local culture and everyday life.
Undraa did an amazing job creating the itinerary around the places we wanted to see. From Khövsgöl Lake to the remote Zavkhan region, including Telmen Lake, Tosontsengel and Ulaagchny Khar Nuur, and then through Khorgo, Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake, Tsenkher, Kharkhorin and Khustai National Park, every part of the journey felt perfectly suited to what we had imagined. She was always available and helpful throughout the many months of planning.
Our guide Lkhagvadorj and driver Huyga were also a huge part of what made this trip so special. Huyga knows the most remote and challenging roads by heart and took us to incredible places far from the usual tourist routes. Lkhagvadorj was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and always ready with a great suggestion, helping us not only discover Mongolia but truly feel part of its culture.
And it wasn’t just the big experiences that we will remember. Even the simple evenings spent together, playing knucklebones or cards and chatting after a long day, became some of our favourite memories.
We had an unforgettable trip and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Highly recommended!
