Happy Ears Donkey Sanctuary的点评
点评：Absolutely wonderful experience with Yani and her much loved Donkeys. The Donkeys are Yani's life, and more. The love, care and affection they all get is admirable and extremely heart warming.
My wife and I visited multiple times during our stay in Rhodes and we were very lucky to see 4 day old baby boy Atlas. We helped Yani with a few jobs which was really enjoyable and gave us both a real sense of happiness that we were helping the Donkeys and Yani as she was caring for baby Atlas.
The location is easy to reach by car, I strongly recommend that EVERYONE who visits Rhodes to go and visit and also, if you have time, to help Yani. Yani takes tremendous care of the Donkeys and its a LOT of work for 1 person, its incredible the amount of time and love it takes to do what she does. Some tasks may not be very glamorous such as shovelling poo poo or sweeping up a bit and putting out hay etc. but the rewards are worth it - knowing you have helped these lovely animals.
It is really sad to hear some stories about how some Greeks treat the Donkeys in Rhodes - Yani told us a few upsetting stories. I also want to note here to ask the tourists DO NOT make use of the poor Donkeys in Lindos - the treatment they receive is extremely sad/inhumane.
