点评：We could have done Sir Nigel Gresley or Tornado but having done them in the past, Pendennis Castle was a new and welcome experience. The day didn't start well when my ankle gave way outside the station entrance and I went sprawling on the floor, scraping my hand, busting my glasses and cutting my face. A big thanks to the kind gentlemen who came out of the station to help and the other gentlemen who pulled up outside to assist him. Very kind and much appreciated otherwise I would have still been lying there. Also thanks to the station first aider who came to check on me and the king lady in the cafe who brought me some plasters.
The locomotive, which was designed to rival the Flying Scotsman, was magnificent and made easy work of the journey. We were fortunate to have a lovely sunny day and the scenery glowed in the bright, low, autumn sun. We had a one hour stop in Grosmont before returning to Pickering. Great journey and lovely staff both on the train and in the stations.
