Very Disappointed at So Few Butterflies
Butterfly World and Fountain World的点评
点评：I do not recommend this place as value for money.
Visited today with my family (2 adults and 2 children) paid £48! We were very disappointed to see so few butterflies. My husband went and spoke to management to express how we felt and request a refund but they were not interested and informed him there are approximately 200 butterflies there but the butterfly house is so big they didn’t have an impact, we could hardly see any. Management said they had only recently reopened for 2026 and later in the season it will be full of butterflies when it’s warmer and better weather. That maybe so but at this stage of the season the entrance fee should reflect that or better still don’t open yet. The man who gave the talks about the few butterflies, fish and reptiles was very knowledgeable (he needs a microphone though as it wasn’t easy to hear him). He was particularly friendly and liked to get to know his visitors, I felt bad for him as he tried his best. The guy on the front desk was also very friendly and interested in my son’s football shirt. My daughter loves animals and nature and we’re lucky that she didn’t react badly to the lack of butterflies and we were amazed she wasn’t bored. She is SEN and likes calm environments so she was quite happy there, £48 is too much to pay for what we experienced though. Previous butterfly houses we’ve visited in Stratford-on-Avon and Aberystwyth were full of butterflies everywhere and we spent the best part of a day at each place. We’re on holiday for a week and expect value for money but that isn’t what we’ve had today.
