A Great Day at Featherdale Wildlife Park

点评：Drove to Featherdale Wildlife Park in a Simba hire car. Easy drive from Sydney and plenty of parking when we arrived around 8:30am. We bought our tickets in advance, so entry was quick and easy.
Really enjoyed this visit. The park is well maintained and the animals looked healthy and well cared for. What I enjoyed most was getting so close to the animals. Being able to feed and pat the wallabies while they were freely roaming around was such a nice experience. They were so comfortable around people, which made it even more enjoyable.
There was plenty to see, including koalas, kangaroos, quokkas, emus, dingoes, Tasmanian devils and penguins. I especially liked seeing the koalas and kangaroos up close. It was also nice just walking around and discovering the different birds and animals along the way.
The staff were friendly and easy to talk to. We asked one staff member how he could tell the different penguins apart and remember which ones he had already fed. Really interesting to hear him explain it. You could tell he genuinely knew and cared about the animals.
We also saw school groups visiting for their activities. It was actually quite heartwarming to see the kids so interested and excited about the animals and wildlife.
Overall, we had a really enjoyable time at Featherdale. It felt more personal than just walking around a zoo because you can actually get quite close to the animals. If you’re visiting Sydney and want to experience Australian wildlife up close, I’d definitely put Featherdale on the list.
