Avant Mining Fisher Mountain的点评
点评：My family and I drove 15 hours to spend my birthday week digging for quartz crystals. The initial place was to hit several mine once before circling back, but Avant is now a favorite. The staff are extraordinarily friendly and easy to talk to. Chris and Monica in particular were really helpful, and they keep a gorgeous store. Not to mention they make delicious, fancy coffee.
Regarding the mine itself, the road up is WAY more manicured than last year. Plus the mounds are easy to access from the car (huge plus for taking breaks). There's a good amount of space to explore, and turnovers are regularly scheduled.
On our second visit, we ended up digging through a rain storm. Lot of small, beautiful points were easy to spot on the surface but it took some good old fashioned digging to uncover real treasures. We walked out of there sore and absolutely covered in orange mud, but grinning ear to ear. It was the best birthday I've ever had. We're already looking at a third visit, and maybe a pocket dig!
