Fantastic little hidden gem!

点评：Great little slice of British history, the house itself is well maintained and very interesting. The difference between the different uses that the building has had in the past is done very well, the interactive elements were a great addition, a particular highlight was the bows and arrows that I had to use to show off my archery skills or lack there of.
The staff were quite simply brilliant, Leanne was knowledgeable and very easy to deal with and the tour guide whose name I didn’t get, was exceptional , they both show pride and passion about the subject matter which was a refreshing change to some of the staff I’ve encountered at similar places. They told us stories about the place, its many different uses throughout its long history and made the visit one that I would advise everyone to do.
A quick stroll through the well kept woods and grounds, we didn’t have time to enjoy the restaurant but will do so when we come back!
All in all can’t speak highly of the place, I wish all the places I went to were up to this standard!
