点评:Visiting the Mathe Armitage exhibition was deeply disappointing- confined to an extremely small space and very poor displayed. I visited on the strength of the promise of that exhibition , but it was a complete rip-off. This artist deserved so much more - the whole venue at least. I’d never heard of her before visiting and went specifically after an article in the Times, but it was an absolute travesty of an “exhibition” . Watch the video on YouTube about her and that will cover what Ptizhanger has deigned to show . I have visited the Ptizhanger before so perhaps if you do visit for the first time the curiosity vs the interiors may offer more value for money, but for me, sadly, I felt this entrance fee was a complete and utter rip-off. One of the most interesting expos I’ve ever seen here was Robin & Lucienne Day in 2011 which seemed to take over so much more space… I really don’t know what has happened since, but I certainly won’t be making a detour here again as I had expected the same value given to the Days as Marthe Armitage, but you will get more out of watching any videos online about her than this supposed “major” exhibition. I truly hope this artist gets a better venue and retrospective than this paltry room in the future
