点评：This was our second time going cave biking, and it remains an impressive experience every time. It’s hard to imagine how enormous the tunnel systems of these quarries are beneath the landscape. Cycling through them truly feels unique.
After descending the spiral staircase and stone steps, you suddenly find yourself deep inside the underground tunnels. Following a short introduction, you head off into the quarry in a line behind the guide. Along the way, large open chambers alternate with narrow passages where you sometimes have to duck a little, which makes the ride both varied and exciting.
The tour is perfectly manageable for the average recreational cyclist, and there are plenty of short stops along the way. The guides also share interesting stories about the quarry and its history.
If you are visiting Valkenburg or Maastricht, this is definitely an activity worth adding to your trip with the family. It’s an experience you won’t forget anytime soon.
