点评:I really can't say anything bad about The Barbican, it's a beautiful area of Plymouth, one I find myself drawn back to constantly, the bustling nature of it is nice as you will always have something to do, somewhere to look into, and a wide range of eateries leaving you spoilt for choice (Starvos, just saying!)
Being so close to the Inner Sound keeps things cool, a hot day can be accompanied with a cool breeze, something I very much enjoyed during the August heatwave of 2026.
If you're more of a nightlife kind of person, then worry not, we were out til past 11pm and the area was still a hive of activity!
The Barbican has great history, food and drink venues, and giving yourself something to do throughout the day. If you like being on the water, there are two slipways, one at Elphinstone Car Park and the other at Commercial Wharf, so pay for a few hours of parking, get in the water and have fun!
The area is free to visit, lots of places to explore off the back of it, National Marine Aquarium is around £26 to visit and you get a pass to visit whenever you want for 12 months thereafter, you'll almost always have a great experience.
