点评:We climbed part way up imposing La Rocca during a day trip to Cefalu from Palermo on the second leg of a five week visit to Sicily in April 2026. We traveled from Palermo by train (an easy ride of just under an hour) and then walked uphill from the train station (with La Rocca looming in the distance) to the Parco della Rocca entrance (where you will find the only toilets on La Rocca) in about fifteen minutes. Once we had paid a small entrance fee, we hiked up as far as the 2,500 year old ruins of the Temple of Diana and nearby fortification wall; the pathway is at times gravel, at times rocky and at time steep; the hike up took us a bit under an hour, including time to catch our breath at scattered benches along the way and to admire and take photos of the stunning views of Cefalu and the coast below. Our visit to took about two hours in total from and back to the park entrance. La Rocca was definitely the highlight of our visit to Cefalu.
