点评:We used the lounge last week prior to boarding our flight to London. I would like to mention that there were 3 major airlines flying from Adelaide on the day [last Saturday, that being the 1st day of the school holidays for many].
When we entered the lounge, it was packed with little free space. We eventually found a place, but then found that the buffet had been decimated and the inventory was not being re stocked. The operators would be aware the demand and thus operational requirements of the lounge with regard to buffet replenishment. Most of the food areas were empty. I even had to ask them to refill the milk jugs.
There are a few issues here. The experience is not premium. The food and beverage manager must plan for heavy traffic and ensure the food supplies and presentation are maintained. The staff looked flustered. Further to this, Adelaide airport is ramping and more airlines are servicing the travel routes. There need to be consideration and review for the size of the lounge. If we consider the size of the Qantas Club lounges for both standard, business and Chairman’s lounge, why is it that they have obtained such a large space allocation?
I have used the lounge many times in the past since it opened. It has been quite nice. The issue here is clearly operational planning. Even the queue to enter was long and only staffed by one person. The QC always gets you in quickly.
Not a premium experience at all.
