点评：The port area is nice and full of the same souvenirs shops and jewelries present everywhere in the Caribbean. Besides the stores, there is a big pool with bars, sand, beach chairs and palms. It is a very convenient place for families that don't have an excursion planned or want to get around by taxi to the nearest beach. We arrived at a time where it was crowded because everyone was coming off the ship and went to look for a beach chair. The beach chairs can be occupied if one purchases food or drinks. It is clearly marked, so you will be asked to order something to occupy one of them. It is very overpriced to order a drink, but convenient if you want a (sun+beach+cocktail) minus (planning stress+taxi haggling+expensive excursion) type of day. There is a life guard on his high chair checking that everyone is safe and does not bring glass bottles in the pool or does anything dangerous. I checked him several times and he was really scanning around, paying attention and doing his job properly. If you hear a whistle, it's him. After you enter this port area, there is also a big pole where they do a traditional show at different times of the day. 4 men tie their feet to a rope and they let themselves spin around the pole while at the same time come down as the rope unwinds around the pole. Pretty interesting if you haven't seen it before. Summarizing, take it for what it is, a very overpriced and crowded, but very convenient and safe place to spend the day for kids and adults near your cruise ship. Bring money, beach towels, swimming gear, a sun hat and sunscreen for everyone, and a couple of beach toys for your kids.
