Good environment, very bad management
Tourism Café的点评
点评：The café generally has a nice vibe, but unfortunately it has poor and toxic management that ruins the experience.
The manager thinks he’s in charge of the relationships you form there. He monitors people’s interactions closely and even interferes, personally warning them about their relationships.
Dating is banned in the café because he doesn’t like it. But he and his girlfriend do whatever they want there 24/7 and openly flirt. It basically feels like only certain people are banned from this, while it’s fine for him and his friends.
The café supposedly hosts “free English discussions,” but if he doesn’t like you, he’ll tell you to stop talking or threaten to ban you.
He also has a number of “spies” who aren’t official staff but hang around and report on others.
If these people don’t like you and report you, you’re basically done and will get banned.
There was even a case where two guys liked a girl in the café. One of them was one of these “spies,” and to get closer to her, he falsely reported the other guy to the manager for bothering her—so the manager banned him, and the spy got what he wanted :)))
In short, if you have no interaction with the management, you might still enjoy the place because it has a nice, modern atmosphere.
It’s not a good place to work, though, since it’s noisy, small, and lacks personal space.
It can be good for learning English. Overall, it feels more like a language institute than a café.
