点评：There are a handful of medieval towers and city gates that you will see around the medieval old town of Landsberg am Lech including the impressive 36 metre tall Bavarian Gate (Bayertor) which serves as the grand eastern entrance into Old Town. This was the entrance to the road that led to Munich in centuries past.
Bayertor was built in 1425 and is considered on of the finest late Gothic city gates in southern Germany. It is elegantly decorated Gothic style reliefs and motifs and makes for lovely photographs.
It seems visitors can enter a museum within Bayertor from 1 May to 31 Oct (€4 per adult) to learn more about the history of this famous tower and the various roles it played during past centuries. This may potentially be interesting to those who with time, visiting during during open season.
