点评:Visited on a Wednesday to avoid the crowds, arriving before 9:30am. We were queuing in the hot sun until the park opened at 10am, so we were very glad to have sunscreen, hats and water. Make sure you get a photo in front of the iconic revolving Universal globe before you leave. Allow at least six hours to explore the park and head straight to your priority rides. Download the Universal Studios Singapore app for live wait times, show schedules and park navigation.
Unfortunately, WaterWorld was closed during our visit. If it’s one of the main reasons you’re planning to visit Universal Studios Singapore, it’s worth checking the refurbishment or maintenance schedule before you book.
Getting there:
The park is extremely close to the Resorts World Sentosa monorail station, making it a very easy and enjoyable journey.
Entry:
Buy your tickets online or from the kiosks outside the entrance. Arrive early to avoid the rush. There is a separate queue for Express Pass holders, although all entry gates opened simultaneously when we visited.
Express Pass:
The S$120 Express Pass allows you to skip the regular queue once per eligible ride (some attractions excluded). It may be worthwhile on busy weekends or holidays, but by visiting midweek we found it completely unnecessary. Many rides listed as having a 30-minute wait were considerably shorter, and some had virtually no queue at all.
Rides:
Unless you have concerns about particular ride triggers, I’d recommend avoiding spoilers and simply experiencing them for yourself. Even the smaller roller coasters were surprisingly thrilling.
We headed straight to Transformers and Revenge of the Mummy, both of which had no queue and were fantastic. Revenge of the Mummy provides free lockers for larger bags, while smaller bags can be taken onto Transformers. There are a few flights of stairs before boarding Revenge of the Mummy.
We then rode Battlestar Galactica: Human, which was listed as a 20-minute wait but was almost a walk-on. (For anyone nervous about inversions, Human does not go upside down.) Prioritise these headline attractions early in the day.
One oddity we noticed was that Battlestar Galactica: Cylon showed as closed in the app for most (if not all) of the day, despite operating normally. If it’s listed as closed, it’s worth walking over to check in person rather than assuming it isn’t running. Or look up in this case!
Afterwards we worked through the smaller rides, none of which had significant waits. We skipped Jurassic World Rapids Adventure because it had reached a 70-minute queue after lunch, and instead rode Transformers and Revenge of the Mummy again, both of which had no wait in the afternoon.
The app is extremely useful for checking live wait times. All queues are covered and are either air-conditioned or equipped with fans.
Shows:
The shows provide a welcome air-conditioned break from the heat. Lights, Camera, Action! was very enjoyable (those in the front rows may get splashed).
The Donkey improv show was technically impressive, with an excellent voice performer and clever audience interaction. Unfortunately, much of the humour relied on dated stereotypes, including jokes such as “I knew you weren’t married because you look happy,” comments about women taking all of a husband’s money, and husbands never being right. For such an international audience in 2026, the material felt rather clichéd. The technology and performance were excellent—I just wish the writing had been stronger.
Meet and Greets:
Don’t miss the stilt walkers outside Ancient Egypt. Their costumes change throughout the day, so it’s worth returning later if you can.
Megatron is an absolute highlight. He individually roasts guests with hilarious improvised insults and was one of the funniest experiences in the park.
The Minions stage show was unfortunately cancelled on our visit, but the characters still appeared at park opening. Guests can currently access an early Minions meet-and-greet from 9am, although it’s worth checking whether this is still offered before your visit.
Shopping:
I left my shopping until the end of the day, but purchases can be sent to the front gate for collection (allow at least three hours) or stored in lockers.
The Sesame Street shop was my favourite. Mastercard purchases over S$50 currently receive a 10% discount, along with scratch cards that can be redeemed for discounts on selected food, beverages and merchandise throughout the park.
Food:
You are allowed to bring water into the park and refill your bottle throughout the day. There is also a nearby 7-Eleven if you wish to purchase bottled water beforehand. Bags may be searched to discourage outside food.
Food and drinks are available throughout the park at moderate theme park prices. The Jurassic World Discovery Food Court (which resembles the Jurassic Park visitor centre) serves local favourites including chicken rice and hor fun, although none of the meals were gluten-free when we visited.
If you have food allergies, KT’s Grill or the Indian restaurant may offer more suitable options, but always discuss your dietary requirements with staff before ordering. Gluten-free, dairy-free fruit icy poles were available near Ancient Egypt.
There are very few packaged snacks with ingredient labels. Most options are freshly prepared foods such as hot dogs, popcorn and turkey legs, so visitors with allergies should plan ahead.
Alcohol is available throughout the park.
Facilities:
Bathrooms are plentiful, spacious and very clean, especially earlier in the day. We also found shaded smoking areas near Ancient Egypt, with likely others elsewhere throughout the park.
Weather:
Try to avoid visiting during heavy rain, although there is still plenty to do indoors if the weather turns. Whether sunny or overcast, the heat can be exhausting. Fortunately, most attractions and shows are indoors or undercover, with only the ride itself being outdoors.
Sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, water and handheld fans are highly recommended. We skipped mosquito repellent and only received one bite, but it’s still worth considering.
Overall:
We had a fantastic day, with plenty for both adults and children to enjoy. Arrive early, plan around the heat, head straight to your priority attractions, and use the app to monitor wait times throughout the day. If you’re visiting during a particularly busy period, an Express Pass may be worthwhile, but on a midweek visit we found it unnecessary.
