Really a Collection of Smaller Attractions
The Frick Pittsburgh Museums & Gardens的点评
点评：The Frick Pittsburgh Museums and Gardens is actually a small campus of buildings mostly relating to the Frick family of industrial fame. You pay to enter once and that enables you to see the whole thing (Exhibitions being extra).
We have visited the Frick in New York at least twice and were attracted to come here by the Matisse/Renoir/Degas exhibition, which is going on through October 11, 2026. While we were there, they also had a temporary display of three Monet works.
This Frick is much smaller than the one in New York, having perhaps only three permanent galleries and less notable art. The French Moderns exhibit was in two or three galleries and perhaps 40 works by a variety of mostly Impressionist and post-Impressionist artists from around 1867-1900. The artists include not only the ones named, but also Gustave Caillebotte, Berthe Morisot, Marc Chagall, Pierre Bonnard, Rodin, and Raoul Dufy. While small, we thought it was worthwhile.
The permanent collection is not all that impressive, with the best works likely now in New York.
The campus includes a carriage museum that is highly worthwhile. Most of the carriages and cars were owned by the Frick family. You'll want to read the descriptive material for fun details about them -- one, for example, was a present to Frick's 9-year-old daughter. They also have a Ford Model T or A they let you sit in to take photos.
The Frick home is on the campus and can be seen with a tour guide. It was swathed in scaffolding during our visit so we skipped it. There is also an attractive greenhouse and a popular cafe.
We wouldn't categorize this as a major attraction, but it was a nice place to visit for an afternoon.

我们并不把它列为主要景点，但确实是个适合度过一个下午的好去处。
