Beautiful desert experience, but extremely disappointing handling of Wadi El Hitan

点评：The desert itself was beautiful, and I genuinely enjoyed parts of the tour. However, the handling of the Wadi El Hitan (Whale Valley) visit was extremely disappointing.
Wadi El Hitan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was explicitly included as a highlight of my itinerary. Unfortunately, the visit did not take place.
During the tour, I tried to resolve the problem immediately and was told by my guide, Ahmed Sultan, that Wadi El Hitan was closed that day. I have the relevant communication and have already sent the screenshots to Emotours.
Emotours is now claiming that I supposedly chose to visit the countryside instead.
That is not what I was told at the time. And I would never have voluntarily exchanged a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an ordinary village visit.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that I cannot simply go back and experience Wadi El Hitan another day. I have lost a unique opportunity during my Egypt trip that cannot be replaced.
I am therefore very disappointed not because the entire tour was bad – the desert itself was beautiful – but because an explicitly promised highlight was not provided and I am now receiving contradictory explanations instead of a fair resolution.
I would strongly recommend that anyone booking this tour make sure that every included attraction is actually provided and that any changes to the itinerary are clearly confirmed in writing.
