His English is fluent, making communication effortless, and his ability to spot wildlife and navigate the bush is impressive. Beyond just finding the animals, he provided insightful explanations about their behavior and habitats, showing a genuine respect for nature.
2. Attentive to Guest Needs
He is incredibly punctual—always arriving at the meeting point ahead of schedule. We appreciated his practical advice, such as identifying areas where it’s better to avoid pushy street vendors.
He was also very flexible with our itinerary. While he always gave us the final say, his suggestions—like prioritizing hot meals at the lodge over packed lunches—were well-timed. On days we did eat in the field, he found great spots, including a memorable stop at a local school where we learned about regional conservation efforts.
3. Reliable and Hardworking
Dominic maintains a very high standard of professionalism. Both he and his vehicle were consistently clean and well-kept. He is extremely dedicated to ensure we saw everything we were interested in.
Because he is well-connected with other guides and park rangers, he always had the latest information on animal sightings. This network was key to us finding a pride of lions with nursing cubs in a great viewing position.

Beyond the wildlife, we enjoyed our conversations with Dominic about culture and global developments. He is an open-minded person who is eager to learn; he even asked for help setting up WeChat to better accommodate future guests who don't use WhatsApp.
