点评:Therme Wien in Vienna had some nice elements, but overall it didn’t quite live up to expectations compared to other large European thermal spas we’ve visited.
We had actually been to Therme Erding just a week before, so we came in with a pretty high expectation of what a large thermal complex could be like, which definitely influenced how we experienced this visit.
The biggest issue was how busy and chaotic the entry process was. There was only one check-in desk open, which created a long wait and a bit of a stressful start to the visit.
Inside, the facility itself felt smaller and more crowded than expected. It was difficult at times to really relax because of how many people were there, especially in the main pool areas.
The adult-only spa section (which includes nude sauna areas, as is standard in Austria) was also not as impressive as others we’ve experienced. It’s more limited in size and leans heavily toward steam rooms rather than a wider variety of traditional sauna experiences and larger relaxation spaces.
That said, it is extremely convenient to reach. You can take the metro all the way to the final stop and from there it’s just a short walk straight to the entrance, which makes it very easy for a quick visit without any transfers.
